This installation is part of the Art @ One Boulder Plaza program, made possible by the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art.
Colorful Realities is a site-specific installation made from colored acrylic plexiglass panels, laser-etched with the animals who call the Front Range home.
Urban Development encroaches on Native species nationwide. This piece dives into the pressure our lifestyles have on species. Especially predatory species. Hunted down for pelts and trophies throughout the United States. With no second thought on what we are doing to these species, envoke a sense of despair and entrapment. Soon, with an ever-decreasing predatory population, our ecosystems will collapse. We will see the consequences of our own actions.
